Assurances that the food will be gluten free do not always hold up and then the consequences dramatically impact the quality of the vacationer's experience. Our Gluten free vacation is a unique outdoor adventure, we'll make sure the foods that you are served are not only gluten free but delicious as well.

We are delighted to be working with the renowned Gluten Free RN, Nadine Grzeskowiak, on this very special Oregon rafting adventure. This is a vacation where you can have true peace of mind-no worries about the food being served you, just focus on the fun. Nadine is confident that this trip will address almost any food allergy because the food will be fresh, organic, and free of allergy causing substances. So the added benefit is that if you have food allergies other than gluten, this Oregon rafting trip will also be the perfect vacation.

This cost covers all meals from lunch the first day through lunch the last day, 2 nights lodging, guides, gear, government fees, shuttle back over the mountain at trip's end, Nadine's expertise (she will be on the trip with you), and the gluten free chef's skills at each evening dinner and breakfast meal. Whitewater Warehouse will prepare delicious, gluten free lunches riverside each day. Is all the food gluten free?  - What about cross contamination? All of the food will be gluten free! Nadine Grzeskowiak (The Gluten Free RN will also be on this Rogue River rafting trip) has a vast knowledge of celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and knows the importance of cross contamination. She has made it her priority to assure that all of the food will be gluten free. Can you tell me about the gluten free chef? Nadine has taken the time to personally pick a gluten free chef that knows the importance of cross contamination and gluten free meals. The chef for the trip is Abby Fommartino. Abby is the owner of Abby's Table in Portland, Oregon. Abby's Table is a business that sells sauces that are free of all gluten, dairy, soy, and refined sugar. Abby's Table also provides cooking classes, private dinners, and catering. The majority of the food will be dairy, casein and gluten free. However, we will also have dairy options available for those who desire them. I have other food allergies will I be able to eat the food? Even if you have food allergies other than gluten, this rafting trip will be the perfect vacation. Nadine is sensitive to all allergies, and will be able to accommodate almost any allergy concern. Nadine is confident that this trip will be able to address almost any food allergy. All of the food provided will be fresh, organic, and free of allergy containing substances. Will the gluten free food be acceptable for kids? Yes, we will be providing food that is suitable to all ages. Abby and Nadine both have knowledge in providing gluten free food that is not only delicious, but also appealing to all ages. Will there be alcoholic beverages? Yes! We will have a variety of hard ciders, gluten free beer, and local Oregon wines. Will there be gluten free snacks? Yes! You will not go hungry on this trip. We will have a variety of appetizing and fulfilling gluten free snacks. What is Nadine's professional background? Nadine Grzeskowiak RN CN began her nursing career in the emergency department and trauma centers across Oregon in 1992. Her career focus shifted in 2006 with a diagnosis of celiac disease. She is the CEO of three independent nursing owned businesses: RN on Call, Inc, Gluten Free RN, and Celiac Nurse Consulting. Nadine is first and foremost a patient advocate and an educator focusing on gluten intolerance and celiac disease. Her mission is to get people on the gluten free diet and feeling better! Nadine is available for private consultations, professional speaking engagements, and seminars for healthcare professionals. In her free time Nadine enjoys running (she just completed the 1st Corvallis half marathon!), knitting, reading, and taking her gluten free dogs for walks on the beach.
