Rogue River Rafting - Food & Wine: If you are a true "foodie" and love the idea of pairing incredible cuisine and wonderful wines with a superb whitewater rafting experience, call us. Each year we offer or two of these special culinary rafting adventures and they always fill up quickly. Folks who booked these trips enjoyed the pairing of a beautiful outdoor experience with mouth-watering cuisine each evening at the two different lodges. On this one-of-a-kind trip, you'll raft each day through the spectacular Rogue River canyon, lunching riverside. Each evening, you will overnight in one of two historic Rogue River lodges--Black Bar and Marial. There, you will enjoy superb wines matched with mouth-watering hors d'oeuvres and multi-course gourmet meals. One of these trips features Chef Matt Morse. Chef Matt loves to entertain and delight you with his passion for Italy’s rustic foods and fabulous wines. He has been Whitewater Warehouse’s resident “gourmet chef” for many years. His culinary and wine knowledge are impressive, but not intimidating. His food is pure and using local ingredients as much as possible (such as Oregon-caught petrale sole), he blends the best that Oregon and Italy have to offer. Chef Morse travels regularly to Italy (and the countryside of Oregon!) to discover the best regional foods and wines. He brings with him a unique understanding of food but he is also an experienced Rogue River oarsman--a perfect combination! |
