"It's our time!"
You're a woman. Have you ever taken
a vacation that includes no responsibilities, no demands,
and no one asking you "what's for dinner?!?" Patti Philip,
primary organizer for the 2000 WWW "wild women" campers,
reflects on this idea. "Our Rogue trip is about taking a
break in the middle of a stressful, busy life and being
totally pampered. It's our time. You don't worry about makeup,
your hair, your clothes…all you think about is having a
blast with new and old friends."
So, Patti, what about WWW's food and
drink? "The best, the best," she says. "We don't have to
prepare it or wash dishes. A dream come true for all of
us. We watch the guides BBQ the salmon and clean the grills!"
Pat Dumalski, another "wild woman" who
traveled with this group wrote to us at WWW, "Firstly (I
make up words), Bob, Guy, David, Mark, Mike and Brian were
excellent 'guides.' I felt safe, cared for, comfortable
and pampered. They were fun, polite, helpful, informative
and great cooks. I would imagine a large group of women
might be a tough 'gig' but they all did great.
"Beyond getting us through safely and
well fed, we were fortunate for good weather, good equipment
and good company. I felt so well cared for I find myself
short of words (guess my mind hasn't returned yet from vacation!)"
