Southern Oregon Farms
Southern Oregon farms are as unique as the families that run them. Some are known for their organically grown fruits and vegetables, some for their high-quality, grass-fed animal stocks, some for their gorgeous flower cutting gardens, and others for their home-grown ingredients that they make into the yummiest homebaked goodies and meals.
Most of these farms are quite small and family operated. Most welcome visitors for tours and questions about their farming practices. We have compiled a listing that is fairly extensive and have given you, in cases where the websites exist, links to the sites. Enjoy. These professionals work hard to grow and produce the highest quality products on the planet.
A very interesting farm-related events group that has been creating major "buzz" in the southern Oregon valley is the Farm to Fork professional chef ensemble. Since June 2010, the group has been offering dinners that highlight local-sourced ingredients and beverages. Each month a different farm is featured--and the dinners are hosted on-site at the farm. Coupling these farm dinners with the regions fantastic wines, gives these often sold-out dinners a very unique southern Oregon twist.
